From 22–24 June 2026, the LIZOR MEDIA team had the pleasure of participating in Sunny Side of the Doc 2026, one of the world’s leading international markets dedicated to documentary storytelling. The event once again brought together producers, broadcasters, distributors, commissioning editors, streaming platforms, and filmmakers from across the globe to discuss the future of factual content.

This year’s discussions focused on some of the most pressing topics facing the documentary industry today. Among them were the growing role of artificial intelligence in content creation, new financing and co-production models, the evolution of audience engagement across digital platforms, sustainability in media production, and the increasing demand for impactful stories that address global social and environmental challenges.

For LIZOR MEDIA, Sunny Side of the Doc was an excellent opportunity to reconnect with long-standing partners, establish new professional relationships, and exchange ideas with outstanding industry experts. We held numerous productive meetings, explored potential collaborations, and shared our own experience in the international documentary market.

Beyond the business agenda, it was truly inspiring to be surrounded by such a passionate community of professionals who are committed to creating meaningful, high-quality documentary content. Open discussions, fresh perspectives, and the willingness to collaborate reminded us why events like Sunny Side of the Doc remain so important for the global documentary industry.

We would like to thank the organizers, partners, and everyone we had the pleasure of meeting during these three exciting days. We return home with new ideas, valuable insights, and renewed motivation to continue developing ambitious documentary projects for international audiences.
